    Under the tank, just behind the coils. It's a rectangular cube with a gold-colored metal cover, held in with a rubber strap.

      Just so it does not confuse you to much, mine is right between the coils, directly above them. In fact, I have to move the wirign connectors for the coils out of the way to be able to pull it off its perch.

      You can always just bypass it, at least long enough to see if it is the issue. The way it works is that the alternator output pulls the coil in, which then completes the circuit to the headlight. You can just jumper it out for testing.

        It's right above the ign. coils with a 4 wire connector. If you disconnect it and jump the red/yel and blu/blk wires you will bypass it.
