  • Windjammer V & XJ11

I just bought a Windjammer V with a mount for a XJ11 on fleabay and it includes a wiring harness but it didn't come with instructions on installation. Would anyone have instructions for the XJ11?

Going to want lowers for it too but thus far the only ones I have found are for a Kawasaki & not the XS11/XJ11 bikes. Anyone had success in modifying other types to fit our bikes?

    Thanks.

lowers wont matter what bike it came from as long as it is for a wj V. Only the mount is bike specific.

That's what I thought. I just discovered today though I need to know which "type" lowers these are as they made 10 different types.

      Here's from Craig Vetter's site: http://tinyurl.com/3tvxxoj

Scroll down the page to the section "which lowers fit what"

It looks like Type 2 is what fits our bikes unless I'm reading this wrong.

      I've sure been wrong before.

Lowers for a Vetter ARE bike-specific.

If you are looking for mountign instructions and a wiring diagram, go to craigvetter.com. Everything you need is on his website. You can also get replacement parts there.

Interesting. But according to that you need type 54 for the windjammer V.

Yes, it looks like 54 is the ticket, good catch on your part (So dislike it when I miss the obvious...)! I do wonder though if any of the others will fit with maybe a bit of extra wiggle room. Still, I do need to look for what works for sure.

                Lowers, lowers, getcher lowers here!

I see that I've still got type 54 lowers listed for sale in the Parts For Sale Forum. Maybe you could buy them off me.

I'd much rather buy from a forum member anyday. I'm going to look for your post right now. (I did do a search but man I've apparently been slacking for awhile & getting a bunch of things wrong lately...)
