  • And It Begins

Well here we go again. Bike had some major problems I found while taking it a part. Correcting all of them will be a labour of love. I've looked all the pieces over and a side from the usual, it's do able as long as wife gives the Thumbs up for me to be out of sight for a few weeks. (In the dog house sort of speak) thats never been a problem in the past. "Full restore" but matching paint will be an issue.

I think the black chrome can be duplicated..? Doesnt matter, some of the nicest bikes on here dont have origional colors!

Glad to know your back at it. Everything you posted before looked like you have a promising bike. Look forward to watching the build

          paint

The black isn't an issue, it's trying to match the gold plating. I've looked at several but it is either too expensive, doesn't last or has a greenish tint to it. I'm looking at one other product right now and plan to do a carb top as a trial run. If I'm not happy I may just paint everything black and be done with it. I'd hate to stray away from the MNS motife, but may be my only option.

Look at brass plating. I have seen a couple things done, and the color is real close.
