Can anyone tell me what the stock seat thickness is on an 80 special? I am just wondering if there is enough on it to be cut down an inch, and have some left for my butt. Stock seat only, as others could be thicker, such as my double bucket.

If you are making it thinner, I would recommend getting rid of the stock foam and using a modern type of foam that is more forgiving to your back side.
