That's not a Harley logo........It's the universal ....ahhh.... motorcycle ....errrr ....sheild, Yeh that's it. It doesn't say anything anyway. I thought if I ever got all the rest taken care of I could get the wife to put a xs11 patch on there.
And no I didn't drill all those holes, those disks were on it when I got it.
The sun is finally going to shine today, I'll try and get a sparkle pic.

              Brake Disc Holes

I was wondering, what diameter are the holes in your brake discs? I can see the pattern, but not the diameter. I just might have to do a government job on the shop CNC.

I think that would be the Octy. Vacuum operated fuel relay? I've seen/heard others refer to it as the fuel pump. And refer to using the prime setting on the petcocks and bypassing the "vacuum operated fuel pump". Seems some mechanics are ignorant to what the octy IS, while being mostly not so ignorant to what it accomplishes. So, strange that they may call it the wrong thing, they know it's function, and may even know how to fix it so that it works (or bypass it so the bike works).

Back when I got my first XS400 I was intimidated by cleaning the carbs and paid $100 for a mechanic to do it - nowadays I would do it myself, but I felt better paying and it ran great so I felt it was money well spent.

Some folks like changing their own tires - me - I think its aggravating and always pay to have it done. I don't mind changing fluids - its not a don't want to get dirty kinda thing, just what do I want to spend my little free time on and what am I willing to pay someone to do that frees me up to do other stuff like ride!

I think you got a bargain.

                            Hi John,
it's these modern tires, I tell you. Back in the day I could stomp those old 350-19s off the BSA's rims, start the bead with a short tire iron and the rest could be removed by hand.
But what with modern tire design and tubeless besides, stomping plain ol' don't work.
So yeah, take the wheel to the bike shop, pay them $30 and be happy.
