caliper cylinder oring removal

It's in good shape but I want to remove it to clean the slot. If I was replacing it I'd just rip it out, but I want to re-use it. How tough is the rubber? Will it stand up to a pick?

I use a pick and carefully pry it in there to pop it out. They are fairly robust pieces of rubber.

I used the tiny little flat head screw driver that came with my Craftsman screw driver set that has no other apparent use. It worked well. I didn't want to use my Craftsman pick because I didn't want to take a chance on tearing the oring. If you pry one little area out of the groove it pops out easily. It is not held by adhesive or anything.

Got it out with no scratches to the cylinder or damage to the oring. Used a cotter pin puller.
