  • Fork cover necessary?

Hey guys just wondering if I have to run the fork cover on my 81 SH to make everything sit correctly? I had ordered one but there was some confusion and its not the correct one. I want to put the bike together this weekend and I have no fork cover, but I don't really care if I don't use one if I don't have to. And if I do need one, does anyone have one they want to sell me?

Are you referring to the piece that goes across in front of the lower 'tree, with Yamaha on it? Not sure what you are referring to as a "fork cover".

Yep, that is the "technical" name for it.. Fork Cover. It is a beauty thing mostly, but it may well play into how the headlight ears fit over all. If it helps at all, the PO of Banshee had used one from a Suzuki. It fit anyway.
