Might be an idiotic question, but I am trying to remove the front calipers to clean them out, and they will not come off. Am I missing something here? I removed the nut from the "stud?" that holds eack one on to the forks, and the calipers are wiggling real good, but will not pull off. tips? tricks? Thanks!!

That stud is actually a bolt that goes all the way thru the caliper from the bottom. Take off the plastic cap and you'll see a 12MM bolt head, take it out.2H7 (79)

dont you also have to remove the locking screw for the brake pads?
