valve seal o rings

Alright so I am in the middle of a top end rebuild and need some help with a little problem. I bought a complete gasket set off ebay, it came from japan, and in it is a all my valve seals, but shrink wrapped in the plastic with the valve seals are o rings that I would say are easily big enough to slip over the end of the valve stems but I am not sure where they go? Does anyone know?

Those are for the valve guides. If you're not removing the valve guides from the head, don't worry about 'em.
