  • Mike's XS green coil wireing question..

I'm trying to wire up new coils (the green ones) on my 79 xs1100 special and have a question about wiring up the primary wires. Where do they go? There are two wires, a red and green. There are two places for bolts but which one goes where? If the spark plug terminals are facing down then there is a top an bottom hole for the wires. Maybe it doesn't make a difference but I thought I would check first. Thanks

Nope, it does not matter which wire goes to which connection.

        Mikes Green coils

Pretty much all there is to know about putting them on an XS11 is in this thread.

        http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23012

when I did mine it was a big help. there are other informative threads if you search Mikes Green coils.

Yeah, but watch out you don't pull up the thread where the space-time continuum collapses if you hook em up with the polarity reversed.

There's a thread here somewhere by Scotty what to do when that happens.
