  • Vetter Fairing mounts

    Hi,
Does anyone have a fairing mounting bracket for a Vetter fairing for sale? To mount onto an XS1100 RH frame.
    Thanks,
    Dale.

Dale, I have a Vetter mount, but I am not certail which frame it fits.
Is the mount location differant on the Standard vs. the Special?
I have an F frame and a Midnight Special frame that I can try it on.

      Hi Mike,
My XS 1100 RH is similar to a special so if it fits on that then it should fit on mine. What sort of condition is it in and how much do you want for it? I think the frame between the standard and the special is the same but I could be wrong. It mounts onto the frame down tubes. Can you email me a photo to:

      Thanks,
      Dale.

One Vetter mount fits the Special, Standard, and XJ 1100 frames. It bolts to the threaded holes in the frame below the tripple-T. On my XJ I had to relocate the horns, put them on the Vetter mount. In addition to the threaded mount there are a couple SS hose clamps that hold the lower portion of the mount to the down tubes. Clamps and bolts (metric, of course) are standard hardware store items.

FWIW, Pacifico used to make an adapter that let you mount your Pacifico fairing on a Vetter mount. Price for the adapter kit was around $20.00.

On my XJ I was able to leave the headlight hardware in place, just took out the bulb to use in the Vetter. I have a Windjammer IV and no radio module. Vetter used to make a rubber 'boot' that replaced the headlight on the bike. This kept "stuff" out of the headlight shell. I found mine at a salvage yard, cost was $5.00.
