  • sudden (brief) loss of power

riding home from work yesterday, slowed up for a corner and when I went to accelerate I barely moved forward at all. To me, it felt like somebody was putting their hand over the air intake. This lasted for about 20-30 seconds, then as I was making another corner went to accelerate and everything was fine again. I have to think it's gotta be an electrical issue.

    Hi Beechfront,
you obviously know more about these bikes than I do... I am a beginner. I do know from years in car racing and engine tuning (fuel systems mech) that, starving for fuel or starving for air can feel very similar... sometimes indestinguishable. Is it possible you had a 'bubble' in the fuel line... fuel feed interrupted briefly?
    Just a thought.

I never really thought of that, but if it were fuel I would think I should still have 2 carbs running good. but I have been wrong before.
