Trying to put in new fork seals i tried to take off the top fork seal bolt. While trying i snapped the nut off. just wondering if there is still a chance to get it out. Or am i stuck buying used forks. Tried pipe wrench only to smooth out edges now im lost on what to do Thanxs for any help you can offer

Don't give up just yet. I think you may be able to salvage the forks. First, replacement caps can be found. Mikesxs has a couple listed and I'm thinking the 35mm may fit, but not sure on this:

Remember that those top caps are just aluminum and your tubes are steel. I would consider cutting a slot or even drilling a hole and using an extractor to remove the old cap. Once you have the cap preped for removal, drop the fork in the freezer for a couple hours before starting. Hopefully the cap will shrink up more than the surrounding steel and you can remove it.

Not too sure I would want to try heat for several reasons including the risk of chaning the temper of the steel, damaging the chrome (not really an issue that high up on the fork), or melting the o-ring if you get a bit heavy handed.

Worst case, new forks can be found on e-bay and other places.

    Good luck

Maybe heat it up and then hammer and cold chisel the cap. Make sure the top triple tree pinch nut is loose, that will make the cap come off easier. I have some extra caps laying around if you need one.

              fix

Sorry I didnt give credit were it was due. I was going to try the the freezer trick but fork wont fit. I took the grinder and ground a slot in it. then whipped out the propane torch & heated the cap just warmed it up enough to burn hand. then out came the chisel gave it a few wacks & it was moving real easy. Took pair of vise grips & removed the rest of way out. All together it took about 10 minutes & it was out. THANXS ALOT to the great people at this web site. they have helped many times and way more then they know Thanxs plus Andreas has the parts i need. WOO HOO
