  • question about making a carb sync tool

I found some sites on making a cab sync tool out of clear tubing and using 2 stroke oil in it. they are using 1/8 brass hose mending things to hook the tubing up to the carbs. my question is 1/8 the right size for our carbs.

I made the carb sync tool described in the maintenance section, under carburators/ home made vacuum guage synchronizer. It works very well, is inexpensive to make, but is a little slower to use than some others. For me that is a non-issue, and it paid for itself the first time I used it. Get the air valve from a pet supply store(I got mine from Petsmart) and I purchased the vacuum gauge from Harbor Freight.(US General fuel pump and vacuum gauge tester item #93547). Hope this helps.
