Hello all, i have three sets of wheels and would like to try different colors and polishing combination's. do any of you have any ideas on the paint removal? Ive been thinking of using Easy Off oven cleaner, i know it works on plastic models. Of course the faster and cheaper the better. Thanks in advance

If you plan to repaint and / or polish, paint stripper won't cause irreparable damage. If you are looking for a clean bare look, then oven cleaner will discolor the base material less.'78 E "Stormbringer"

The paint stripper designed for aircraft is what many here have used.I have some aircraft stripper, just not sure i want to take the chance of harming the aluminum

Paint stripper is the easier. I got some carb cleaner on my front wheels and that took the paint off too.Nathan

Easy off won't take the paint off. I've used it to CLEAN the paint on my engine. It does discolor the glossy finishes, but the paint stays put.1980 XS850SG - Sold
