    I aquired a barrel to use as both a tank and an annode, but it had paint in it. It was a nasty sort of acrylic resin paint, and ended up having to burn it out. Hit the inside with a grinder afterward to make sure the steel was sufficiently exposed, then moved it back into the Secret Lab. Back in business. Decided to test it on my centerstand.



    Before dipping in the tank, I scrubbed it with Dawn dishsoap.



    After only 15 minutes in the tank, and another scrub:



    After 45 minutes:



    After 1 hour and 45 minutes:



    After a final rinse and 2 coats of Krylon Ultra Flat Black:

      Not much else for the bike, at the moment. I got a horn bracket last week that's got a little rust on it, but I think the wire brush will take car of it. Between me and my landlord, there are several old tools around that could use a dunk, though.
