  • Bolt thread saver.........

Here is something you can use on the "Hot section" bolts on any bike. Have you ever had to unbolt the headers from a engine for the first time and...man.....does that sound bad! While work-en on F-16 jet engines in the Air Force we used Pepto Bismol on all "Hot Section" bolts....yep the pink stuff. It made for easy removal and kept them from sticking.

I thought that was what anti-seize was for?? Kinda sad that the military spends millions on equipment, then scrimps on maintenance materials... On second thought, is Pepto any cheaper than a bottle of anti-sieze?

              Pepto

Good question Cat............since its not nuclear certified...maybe not. All I know is....if it works on a multimillion dollar motor its good enough for me. Besides....I can pick up a bag of chips along with my pepto anytime!

and when you start getting a little sick feeling in the garage, you got the cure sitting there on the shelf next to the carb cleaner. Just dont get them mixed up...
