  • my name is trash, and I'm a projectaholic

I'd like introduce myself. My name is trash, and to my friends I go by trash. I am a projectaholic. I am currently in the dealings to get a couple 11s, a 79 and 81 in trade. If it falls through I will come up with one some how. Been through a few xs650s and an xs850 but now I'm prepared to venture into the land of the big boy. Didn't tinker much with the xs850, which as I understand is quite similar to the 11 so this will become a learning experience. Anybody like horseswapping as much as me pm me. I always got seven things cooking on four eyes and I'm always looking to change it up. Thanks in advance for allowing yourselves to be harassed by me. Trash

        Hi trash and welcome,
XS650 & XS850 comparison has shown you that their design teams shared a common parts pile but were never allowed to talk to each other.
If your XS850 is a Special you already know about the XS750/850/11 Special's Weird Harold front calipers.
If not, those front pads are supposed to be tapered so don't throw them out like I did.
And besides having an extra cylinder, the XS11 engine runs backwards.
Something that all XS series bikes have in common is their typically 1970s frail whippy front forks.
A Tkat fork brace can save your sorry arse.
        That and stainless brake hoses.

Not necessarily. I live in Georgia and I'm still young. I would be willing to settle for a shop owner, parts dealer, or **** I might even settle for a woman with a big enough shop, provided it was tooled up properly!
