Well after dealing with my 80G running crappy for weeks I pulled the carbs. It seems my last load of fuel was laced with sand/dirt/more sand. When I pulled the bowls there was a fine bed of silt in each one. Did the massive surgical clean (including 2 trips thru the dishwasher). Reassemble and mount em. Was having trouble with getting the idle even. So out came my printed posts on carb problems. Lets try this propane trick!! I moved the bike outside, donned my facesheild, positioned fire ext. close at hand and started the procedure. Between the propane idle mixture trick and the new mercury carb stick, the bike now idles the best it ever has. The low end has improved and if it wasnt for the loose cam chain, I cant hear it idle. Thanks guys for the help.
