  • I need more power.

About to do another engine rebuild. Going with the big bore. What I need to know is what else can I do (i.e. differnet year head, cams, valves) that will help with powering this beast. Im building this motor to put in a project I have going on at the moment.

For now I will stay carburated so I know I will need bigger jets and what not.

    Thanks in advance

looking for internal mods. Turbo is an option but too pricey at the moment. Im just lucky to have a friend that worked for John Force and has a high performance machine shop.

You can port the head and add aftermarket cams . I have mega Cycle Cams,
and slotted cam gears, ported and flowed head, and a lot of tuning to the exhaust to match the flow of the heads was involved. 98hp at the rear wheel . It's freaking amazing compared to my stock 80 SG but you have to spend lots of money for horse power as you most likely know.
