Here is my winter project that I am going at kind of haphazardly. I have gotten a lot of good advice on the site so far (valve shims, coils, aluminum polishing, fork spring installation, transmission #2 fix and a few other things. )
My dilemma is, since I started this with no real plan except to fix the tranny. Then I decided to do the valves. Next I was the recipient of that free bike in Connecticut that was offered on this site in late December. What a treasure trove of parts including many new ones and a complete bike plus a brand new Pacifica fairing and more. That prompted me to remove the fiaring off this one and put the lights onto it. Next the Naked Boy project got me inspired to polish the aluminum and do a crinkle coat on the valve cover.
Now I am in a quandry as to weather or not to go back to square one and strip her down so I can do the frame and other small stuff so it can look like a proper re-do.
But now I also have another complete 1100 for another project and am trying to decide weather to do a quickie here and save the real elbow grease for next winter.l
Problem is, like the story of "Stone Soup" I never planned of putting all this into it.
