Watch ebay for them. I picked up a NOS seat for my 79 Special there for about $140. They are pretty popular if they are in good shape so I felt good paying $140. Set up an account in ebay, if you don't have one already, then use their search tool to build an automatic search for products that match "xs1100 seat" or "xs 1100 seat." If you tell ebay to it will email you any time someone lists a item that matches.
If you seat pan is in good shape you can get a custom seat built for a couple of hundred bucks. There are a number of services out there that do it. I couldn't go that way because the seat pan on my old seat was a rust pit. If you go the rebulid route, stick to a place that is used to doing motorcycle seats. Don't rebuild with standard "chair foam" because it does not hold up and typically is too soft.
Good luck.1979 XS1100 Special with 81 carbs
