      Caution!

Don't want to rain on your parade or dampen your spirits but strongly suggest that you make what you have now, just run the way it was ment to go. These are very fast motorcycles for the brakes and suspension under them. After you have mastered 100HP and 600lbs of weight then start thinking about go fast stuff. We would like to keep you around for awhile all in one piece. These things can bite the inexperienced in a heart beat. When it happens you think back; "Wow, that happened so fast that I didn't have time to do anything".
Honest, learn to ride and maintain it then think about more power. Better to spend your money on upgraded suspension, brakes and tires than on more power.

I agree with Ken. These bikes are plenty fast. It is very easy for your enthusiasm to outrun your talent. Develop your abilities and the suspension before you add more go-fast to the bike.

            Thrills and spills

Yah I agree. I got mine in pieces, put it together and WOW! Stock these bikes do have plenty of power. The reaction of the shaft can be very promonent. If you're looking for a thrill and need to learn respect, try riding for a while with no front brake!
It cool your working on a bike thats older than you. Seats are easy to modify or replace. Take the seat off and imagine what it would look like with a single. OR Take the cover off the seat and imagine how much you can change the foam. Have fun
