    Here is the bike with the old color.



    Here is what i got back from the shop today.
    Hard to see but there is a nice metallic in it.
    It was a free paint job,took 3 months to get it back.

    Lovely! Well worth a 3 month wait if it's a freebie and you didn't need the bike. I love the colour and the metallic finish..........
    XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

      Not bad. Not my style in colot but it looks great. I like the metallic!

            Color

            Much better.......big improvement over the girly lavender!

                    if Lance was waiting from mid-October for his freebie paint job to be done he didn't need no steenkin' bike at all.
                    October through April in Saskatchewan is snowmobile time.

                      We have so much snow here right now. I really hope it's all gone by may long weekend. That's when i hope to bring it back out and put it all back together.

                        3 month wait for a free paintjob is very nice. Looks like the official Yamaha blue to me. I can see the metallic in the one photo really well.

                        Gonna be a great looking bike.

                            Dear Sir Lancelot,

                            I very much like your choice of color. You have excellent taste. It is definitely nicer than brave Sir Robin's lavender. Although, to me, your fabulous XJ Maxim would look ok to me, even if it was covered in bird poop. Function before form. That is my very favorite machine! Congratulations.

                            And, give my regards to the gents at the round table.
