Unlike most of my recent home renovation projects, this one has been a lot more fun. I am calling it "Taking back the Man Cave!"

I should get mostly done loading the shelves today and maximizing open floor space. The downside is that, while it wasn't the greatest, I lost my former work bench. That big open hole at the bottom will be washer-dryer-sink area. The smaller, large, floor opening on the bottom right will soon be the location for my home-brew-kegerator.

You're right about that. I have been putting SWMBO off on this move for years. The problem is that the home was built for a couple that placed no value on a kitchen. So, it was small, shoddy, and was kind of shared with the laundry. So, I always resisted moving the laundry to the garage, but it just has to happen to have a decent kitchen. The shelving will probably increase floor space by 30% and free up what was already there but stored all sorts of non-man-cave-crap rendering it more or less useless.

              Hey Jesse,

I think paying that much $$ for a LED aux light is just too much!
When I had mounted my old sharp camcorder on my bike, I wanted to be able to power it longer than the internal rechargeable batteries, and it had an external power junction from it's AC to DC power supply, was 9 volts. I found a DC converter that allowed selecting a wide variety of voltages, from 3, 6, 9, 12, and a few in between, wired it to my AUX terminal, and was able to power the BikeCam that way at 9 volts!! I don't recall how many AMPs or MilliAmps it could handle though!

Nathan, several of us have put on those pair of aux lights you can get at your local Walmart....they have the 55 watt halogens, but I think you could find the 35watt ones as well. Wire it with a relay directly to the battery/Aux terminal, provides lots of lighting, but as has been posted, at the risk of draining the charging system if you let the rpms drop below 4k and haven't done an LED conversion for tail/brake/turn lights.

I made some simple "L" brackets and mounted them to my forks just below and beside the headlight, others have mounted them onto cruise pegs, engine guards, etc.!

              T.C.

PS, my headlight is a clear lens conversion also, from 2 auto kit.
