  • Spare set of exhaust mufflers

This is a set of spare mufflers that came with the 2nd bike I got when I purchased my 1982 XJ "Maxim". Not sure what they are, but the chrome looks really good, inside of muffs look like a powdercoating or a high temp paint. Anyone have any ideas what they are?

The unchromed sections further up make them look sort of like exhaust tips for an auto.

I second that... the metal "tab" doesnt look like they belong on a motorcycle, that might be for the hanger ...

"What they do have is an implacable, unrelenting presence and movement that bespeaks massive power lurking behind paint and chrome. They don't wail like a screeching ninja, the don't rumble like a harley. They just growl like a spactic, stressed out badger waiting to rip your face off and eat your soul." Trainzz~RIP~
