  • New piston rings

O.K. here is the word on the rings.

Total Seal doesn't have an oil ring to fit because the ring groove is too shallow.

The second ring they might have off the shelf depending on the measurement.

The top ring is a go.

I tried to get them added @ Summit Racing but the part number system is set up differently @ Total Seal for ring sets in less than lots of 500!

So all of our ring sets are custom except for the Wiseco giant pistons.

    Contact Ed Law @ 800-874-2753

PLEASE CONTACT ED LAW ON ALL CUSTOM ORDERS.

Ed told me that they can even machine the ring grooves on your pistons.

Once you get a Quote Number from Ed all you have to do is contact Summit Racing and purchase the Quote Number.

Ed said that you would get a better price thru Summit than from Total Seal direct.

I answered in the other forum as well but ...

      $200-$225 for gapless top

      About half for conventional.

      Either one depends upon options.

Is that EACH? Or for a set of four?

          Geezzus.... ouch.

That's a far distance from the $120 I was quoted early on (for a full set no less), so it looks like the search goes on...

Might be something for the horsepower junkies to take note of, as the gapless top ring does make more power, but for the budget-minded trying to do the 'right' thing this isn't what we wanted to hear.

            RINGTONES? WTF?

The price would be for a set.

If we could get 500 sets made ( ! ) it would be around $150 Gapless and $75 Conventional.
