I used acetone and a dog chain but that WILL attack paint.

      kreme removal

kreme removal is easy, saving the paint now your in trouble. To get all the kreme out you really need to have the tank boiled, and a decent place will re-tin the inside so it will last a good long time. As far as your paint have it reshot, or pick up a jam gun and shoot it yourself. The HVLP jam guns are easy to use, and the paint store has all the particulars that you'll need. Painting is easier than you think. Now you can try out that new color you were thinking about.
2bwideopen was from the days of my youth, and my first bike, a 1968 Kaw.Bushwacker 175 that was 2 yrs old, and a 14 yr old boy growing up in Morro Bay Ca. and 4 mi. of wide flat beach, cars and motors were still allowed on the sand, and full throttle wide open, at a wop'pin 72 mph. YeeoooW! ...Now bikes are faster, tons of people in the way, or a stink'in tree.

I use Methyl Ethyl Keetone M.E.K. as per the instructions. I made some gaskets to cover the bottom holes and filled it almost to the top. Then kept an eye on it ......as it got warmer in the greenhouse I was doing it in, the tank became smaller or the MEK became larger. Either way it almost overflowed. I was very careful to wash any off the paint with a hose as soon as it got on. I didn't hurt the paint at all. That stuff is nasty, gloves , eye protection, and open air are a must.
