I am just starting the project of breathing new life into a 79F.
I originally thought that it had been put away "dry". I now find, to no great surprise, that I was wrong, and that the carbs are totally gummed-up.
Upon dis-assembly, I found one of the needles to be badly worn, and one broken off in the carb body.
On earlier projects, I was always careful to keep the parts to each carb body together, so that nothing went into a differant body than it came out of.
In this case though, am I better-off trying to drill-out the broken point of the needle, or using a body off of a bank of carbs from the partzer?
What do you think?
