  • need a new diaphram for the fuel valve?

I've been having problems with my bike dropping a cylinder. At first i thought it was sticky float or needle in the carb. I cleaned and replaced what was needed and it still ran like poop! I finally had the eureaka moment and checked the vacuum valve on top the carbs. Sure enough the diaphram is bad ant its pulling fuel through the vacuum hose. Can you get the diapram or even the valve assy anymore?

Thanx for any help in advance

          Hey Rev,

You can get rebuild kits, or even a nice used "Octy" valve. Another option is to remove the bloody thing and pitch it to the bin man, which is a quite common option. Then you can simply run the run/reserve outlet taps at the rear of your petcocks straight to the carb fuel T, and cap the front prime tap. Only difference is you now should turn your fuel taps off when you park the bike.
Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
