Ooh, did you say beer?... Beer is good...And I love sittin around and jaw jackin about bikes and drinkin beer...I'd have to drive down in my truck though with the bike in the back because i dont have it registered yet...I'm waiting to go to NY in Dec. to get it registered there, I dont have to pay tax on it there, and the insurance is cheaper due to the riding season being about 3-4 months a year...by NYer standards anyway...me, as long as it aint snowing or raining too hard it means its riding season...

Anyway, It sounds like a good idea though...I just have to find a place to stay if i come down there...

Howdy, if you can wait until Xmas break, mid december to new years, I will get ahold of the xs guru himself, Scott, from up north and see if we can coordinate a good date for him, you, Garth, me and whoever to go through the bike. I teach, so I am off for a couple of weeks then. You can stay at my house, hey, its free. So, get ahold of me in a week or so after I check with the other gurus, I can synch with no problem, but there is lots of info those guys know that I dont.............so check back, get ready to ride the beast xs11,,,,Mike in S.Diego

...only problem with that is i am going to NY for Christmas and New Years, thats where my wife and kids are...I am an Instructor at the Marine Corps Communications Electronics School out here in Twentynine Palms...but the good news would be that I should have the bike registered when i get back...making it easier to take a trip to San Diego...I have to let you know though, I was there at MCRD for a few months a couple years ago and got lost non-stop...the only thing i knew was how to get to the 8 to drive down to Ocotillo to go 4-wheeling... But some of the work would have to wait anyway...
