I just sent the seller a question about shipping to the US, as well as a couple of other questions. I have a sissy bar that fits in place of the grab rail, so I'm curious if their fiberglass pan is strong enough for that. I'd also like to do a color change, so I asked that too. We'll see what comes back....

Hmmm I wonder if they would sell just the seat pan itself as well.

Worth asking. Mind you, when I took my old seat apart, I was surprised at how degraded the foam was. Also, many of the seat covers for sale here are poor quality and don't look anything like original.

Quality covers are easy to come by here. B&H Specialties in Texas makes a really nice version, and they are EXACTLY like the OEM ones, down to the double top-stitching for the MNS covers. Right around $100 though, just for the cover.

One thing I noticed is their covers have the 'correct' heat-embossed stitching (rather than being actually stitched) which is better as that's fewer places for water to get into the seat.

And yes, the foam goes bad with just age. My original seat (which still looks like new) was super comfortable when new; I could easily ride for several hours with no discomfort. But once it hit about five years, it started going bad. By 1985, it was torture to ride more than an hour....

You can get excellent quality seat covers for 39 bucks from an ebay store. See any of my pics. Also I have a king and queen seat on my 3rd 11 that I want a standard for. It will need to be recovered but. I just need the foam and the base. I have an extra strap and grab bar. Don't need a seat cover either. Go to the for salesection and you'll see the seat I want to trade.

You have to use an image hosting site, such as Photobucket.
