Thanks Phil, I will need it, haven't found the bolt yet. I'll be happy to replace yours when I find mine too.
And yep, I'll drop down to Royal PB to help out at Viking's place. I'll give him a call tomorrow to get directions.

Thanks Kat, working hard to make it so. Hope the color scheme works out.

DG, I wasn't even looking for it when I found it. No swanky hood here, cop joins in in the admiration of the machine.....he, he.

And yeah, Justme... Go Big Red, on to Pasadena, Go Bucky!!! Stay warm.

Hope to sandblast some more parts tomorrow so that I can paint them and get closer to buttoning up the rear segment of the bike. Today it was rainy all day and only got up to 55 degrees, not good for outdoor work or painting. Yet I also have to make time to go see a few prospects for my son's xmas present... a sub 125cc dirt bike.

      LOL
      Not a chance...
      Go Frogs!

Our girls are marching in the Tournament of Roses Parade and the school district is currently trying to get the TCU marching band to join the high school bands in a community send off party. LOTS of TCU fans around here... imagine.

Was wondering how the weird weather was affecting things. Keeping fingers crossed for some warm, Florida-like weather for you soon.

Now that sounds like it could be a lot of fun... or trouble... or both.

        Hey Kat,
I hope you guys and the girls have the times of your lives in Pasadena, it really doesn't matter what team wins, it's all about the event and how they evolve from the experience. That's very, very cool that they're marching in the Rose Bowl Parade...
I mean, we'll be able to point them out on TV and say we know who they are!!
My son plays trombone and yesterday they had their xmas concert, wow!!
Hearing these pre-teens play their hearts out was impressive.
It kind of makes a parent proud.....

          Thank you

I think it\'s going to be pretty awesome. The girls are STOKED!
When y\'all see the All Birdville Marching Band, that\'s where they\'ll be.

One of them is also a trombone player (we have a few of those on the board here too) and is going for region auditions today. She is one of about 5 freshmen who made it to the second phase... She and her siblings are AMAZINGLY good (we also have a clarinet player and a trumpet player)

          Yep... VERY proud.

and sorry for getting this off topic, but I\'m having to go through a proxy and it\'s being difficult so I couldn\'t send a PM... but HAD to brag.
          lol

Is your weather cooperating enough for you to get some stuff done on the bike?

What a coincidence that she's a trombone player as well. Heck, with your trumpet, trombone, and clarinet players you almost have a wind ensemble there!!
Bet it gets loud around your house at practice time.
Weather was good yesterday but spent the bulk of the day getting that YZ for him. And today I'm meeting up with Bikerphil and a new member, Viking, to see if we can get his bike operating properly. He keeps burning starter solenoids!!

Have fun out in Pasadena, Wildkat. Love the satin finish on the engine, Cobia. Aren't you glad you pulled the engine?

                Hammer,
Yes I'm glad i pulled the engine, big time.
And thanks for the compliment about the color, I like the way it turned out.

Didn't go help Phil with Viking's bike, wasn't feeling real well today so I hibernated.
Phil tells me they got it running, bad fuseblock being the guilty party. He tells me the bike is painted really nice.

Hey Robert, Don also cleaned the kill switch and replaced the ballast resistor, Some of that might have been his problem, but I think the bad contacts on the glass fuse box contributed.

Oh, we had another case of defective plastic fuel filters.

This weather and my son's bike (YZ85) been keeping me from making further progress on the J.
Geezz, gonna be 26 degrees tonight, IN SOUTH FLORIDA!!!! Tomorrow won't break 60, can't paint at that temp.
Oh well, ordering parts and getting his gear in order in the meantime.
