  • Chopped, Not chopped?

I didnt know what I had until I chopped my bike, kinda sorry I did it. I would have just went after a xs650 if "I only knew then". There is some great resto's here that would be a great asset to any musem. Having stated that, I do want my bike to stand out in a crowd, not trying to look like a harley. Don't want to sound like a harley. Just want to remain to the roots of bikers in general. I just took something I had and try to keep up with the "rich kids and their mustangs", by having something, nice, unique and cool. Proud of my bike, I built it and there's only one of my bike. I can buy anything and make payments on anything. That's what my Charger is for... Thanks to all that have helped me here...[IMG][/IMG]
Here is a video I fould last week of another chopper...

Your bike has a unique look and if you like it and enjoy riding it then works for me.

As to the one in that video, well, no way in hades will you get me to ride it or let him get in front of me on our way through any kind of curvy roads. I've been stuck behind a bike with no clearance on a windy road before, almost drove me to the brink of a nervous breakdown going 20 MPH or less in the curves marked at 30 MPH. Some members here will attest to my lack of patience with the issue.

      Hi Brad,
your bike is OK and as you say, it's the only one like it.
      But that other guy?
He had the absolute right to do that to his bike and if he wants a machine that's all image and only good for
short distances in a straight line on dry days with no place to carry his girl friend, he's certainly got one.
However, to actually claim he'd improved it?

Really, though, he needs his arse kicked but it ain't PC to say that.

HAH! On this one, I have to agree with you Fred. But I suspect it won't be seen too many times, as it's so low that he'll probably crash it the first time he runs into a unexpected pothole/debris or has to make a fast evasive manuever. Did anyone notice he doesn't even have a sidestand, but simply leans it over on the exhaust?

I like the bike in the video. Old school the way a chopped bike should be! Well maybe a little different pipes.
Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas.

IMO, whatever floats your boat. I'm in the boat with the guys who say that chopper is a foolish everyday ride or even an occasional one. That's something someone would build to demonstrate ability like for the showroom in a bike shop. Definitely asking for a low side with those pipes and being that low.

As for the kickstand, as a joke I took some air out of the tire on a previous bike and she stood up with no stand (250/35/17 on the back).
