  • Anyone around Kansas City to help out?

I'm getting new carb parts sent to me from Georgefix this week. Once I put the carbs back together, I would love it if their was someone around Kansas City that could help me with carb syncing and colortuning. I want to learn how to do this properly from someone who has experience. Any suggestions or volunteers?

Do you have the tools to do it, or do you need someone who has them? Unfortunately, many of the KC folks are more active on the .org site, but there may still be some left here. I\'d help out if I was closer...
    1980 XS850SG - Sold
    1981 XS1100LH Midnight Special (Sold) - purchased 9/29/08
Fully Vetterized and Dynojet Kit added, Heated Grips, Truck-Lite LED headlight, Accel Coils, Irridium plugs, TKAT Fork Brace, XS850LH Final Drive & Black SS Brake lines from Chacal.
Here's my web page devoted to my bike! XS/XJ User's Manuals there, and the XJ1100 Service Manual and both XS1100 Service manuals (free download!).

Thanks for the offer CatatonicBug. I would like to find someone who has the sync and colortue tools so I can learn how to use them. Then if I decide it's a task I can handle, I may purchase them for future use. I'm not familure with the .org site. I only know of two dedicated to the XS/XJ models.

This site, xs11.org, and xjbikes.com are probably your best resources. As I mentioned, several of the members of the .org site live in the KC area, and may be able to lend a hand.
