  • Jardine 4 into 2 spaghetti exhaust. How much?

Just a heads up, I will be selling a Jardine 4 into 2 spaghetti exhaust system off of my xj1100 when i replace them with a set of stock exhaust.

I have no clue what the going price is for a Jardine 4 into 2 spaghetti exhaust system.

What would be a reasonable price for this system.

I was looking online for Jardine exhaust for my bike and could not find any. I did find a Mac system for $400 new. Give me some kind of idea what you want for it and i'm sure we can make a deal.

It does look that way. I bought this bike last Oct. I buffed the blueing out of the headers in the spring before riding season. This is what they looked like after a one hour ride.

Bought a Colourtune and adjusted carbs and blueing has not gotten worst since.

The back sides of the mufflers have some minor surface rust (small pin head sized dots). They will definitely clean up. If I get ambitious I'll buff them tomorrow.

          Hi David,
don't get mad. All single-wall chromed steel pipes will change colour as they heat up. From the looks of it your #2 & #3 cylinders are exhausting at a higher temperature than #1 & #4.
If you buff the blueing off, rejet to adjust the exhaust temperatures and take another test ride you'll see if the rejet made any difference.
Traditionally, all 4 pipes should be blue around the first bend fading to pale straw partway down the first straight.
Note that this colour check only works on clean pipes and there's only a few times they will rebuff before all the chrome is polished away.

                Hi David,
If I had a complete Jardine system in good shape I wouldn't let it go for less than $400.

I'd have to agree with Fred; they ain't making them anymore and the poorer-quality MAC systems are going for about that. Not to mention what a decent stock exhaust goes for.

They're worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. The only sure way to find out is to auction them off.
