Just curious, will the exhausts off the standards, specials and the XJ's interchange? If not all, what parts do? Thanks

Exhausts interchangeable?

Well, any XS/XJ exhaust will fit any XS/XJ motor, but as far as them swapping between the various chassis, no. They can be made to fit, but aren't bolt-ons. And only the XJ has separate mufflers; the standards and specials are both welded assemblies, being one piece from the two outside cylinders to the muffler. The only parts that directly interchange are the inner pipes for cylinders 2 and 3, which are the same for all models, and the clamps.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

There are also issues with the flanges being different between the Standards vs Specials. You can make them work by changing the mounting studs, but IIRC, the Specials have shorter mounting studs than the Standards due to different flanges on the headers.1980 XS850SG - Sold
