That seems to be a stock seat for a 80-81 special .

Yeah, I think that IS the stock seat, but the stock brake light isn't there to fill that hole like it normally would.

                scoot

Hay there HAAR: good look-en scoot. Like the cafe fairing! You don't have the rear hand grab rail, thats why it looks so empty as well!

Hey man your bike looks awesome.I just got an 80 and would love to make it look like this.
1980 XS 1100 replaced the seat and sissy bar from a XS 1100 standard and changed the handle bars. Did not like the original bars at all.No mod at all except for a four into one header.

Very nice. Back tire looks like it's getting kinda smooth, though. But what's life without a little excitement .
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

your telling me, the bike shop has some Bridgestone S11 Spitfire Sport Touring that he can put on, about $275 for both front and rear mount and balance... i didn't think that was too bad

You can get a set of S11's delivered to your door for about $130, so depending on what he's charging to mount and balance...
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

it's about 100-125 for mount and balance but go figure, they charge more if you don't buy the tires from them... i already looked online to see if i could get a better deal, it wouldn't save me any more than about 10 bucks and it would take longer cause i have to wait for the tires, it's unfortunate but that's just the way they are

                              Hi Eric,
I'm with Tinman, your seat looks like my '80 seat.
The '80 Special has a cast aluminum grabrail that hugs the rear of the seat and it's huge tombstone rear light bolts to the rail to hide the seat's open area.
BTW, while those small LED signals undoubtedly look neater the stock signals are more easily seen.
OTOH, if the signals were as big as saucers some car drivers still couldn't see them, eh?
