I know i have asked about this before but here it goes again. Could someone please give me a few places i can look to find a seat pan. The one that is on the bike is from a 82. It was modified to fit on the 79 and isnt even close to fitting right.

As you're discovering, this is a hard one to find. It's a one-year-only part, so it may take a while...
Cheapest will probably be the forum 'For Sale' listings, followed by EBay. If you're having zero luck both places, try a google search for 'motorcycle salvage' and you'll get a bunch of hits for bike salvage yards all over the country that will ship used parts to you. If you don't want to wade through the individual listings, you can try this 'hot line' service here:
