    would a 79 fit

    i have the oppertunity to pick up a 79 xs110 engine would the starter from my 80 xs 1100 fit into it ?

      Yes your starter will fit.All the XS1100 motors are basically the same.

          Sure will a 79 is my parts bike for my 80 and it fit perfect.
