Don't care what anyone says, (Ok, no one's said anything yet...), but I like it.
Not particularly useful, but then it wasn't meant to be, I suppose.

Some of the best modifications aren't done to be useful.... but are done "Just 'cause I can do it".

Never seen that done before, so... as such, it's unique and shows abstract thinking.

I was always of the opinion that people should take their clutch covers to a trophy shop and have them engrave some personal icon into the metal, but that's just me.

    Oh yeah.. glass or plexi-glass?

          Raw-ness

When I first saw what you had done, I was reminded of the clear plastic distributor caps some guys put in their cars.... way back during my high school days.
          I know, I know...
"Geez, Prom... I thought all you old guys drove covered wagons to school back then."

I had them engrave a copy of the skull and crossbones sticker that I stuck to the tach dial when I repaired the fuel gauge.

I like the clear float bowls I have seen for race carbs. Useful and cool to look at.

Don't think plexi would hold up as float bowls. Maybe lexan. Glass would be best though I think. if you could do over you could sell some!

                      Hi Lee,
While scooters go Ring ding ding ding your XS11 goes Bling bling bling bling, eh?
If the raw look is not for you, out with the Dremel tool and polishing mops to make it all shiny in there!
That's before you get the timing stuff chromed to look nice behind that new transparent cover.
But the XS11 carb bowls ain't just plain buckets, they got passages and jets in them; kinda difficult to replicate in glass?

im might polish but i think im just going to paint the inside ( some color thats pops )....but i do got enoght sand paper to polish...as for the float bowl passages it would be hard but not impossiable just would take time. i think ill stick with the timing cover its going to take a while but ill get er done.

as for the float bowl passages

How about SS or brass tube with the proper ID to match the jet?
