I really like the look of the pods.

    Hi John,
a hugger fender is easy to do on a rigid and it looks better.
You can do a hugger on a suspended frame too, like on a Vincent, but it's more difficult to get it right.
The sissybar ain't for leaning back on, it gives you a place to tie on your bedroll.
FWIW, MikesXS pods would look even better because they have "XS" pressed onto their ends.

John asked "How does the sissy bar get used with solo seat?"

I figure it would be a great place to bungee on a small pack for an overnight trip to an XS rally somewhere. No reason to have to have a passenger along...

Yeah, my wife (who in 15 yrs. has never wanted to ride with me, ever) is upset with me for not putting a seat on for her. Damned if you do & damned if you don't.

But if you had put a seat there for her she still would not have wanted to ride with you. Its just the fact that you didnt even consider that she MIGHT at some point in her life (but most likely never) want to go for a ride!
