Greetings all!
I was wondering if anyone else had this phenonema? With my 79 xs1100f on the sidestand...I start the motor. As I lift the bike up into a riding position...the R.P.M.s change quite a bit (increasing). I have noticed that the P.O. had installed what appears to be "back flow" preventors (clear, plastic diaphram looking things).
While the bike runs strong and they don't seem to affect performance..I had considered removing them one day.

I had an opposite issue a while back, and I had to make sure that I shut the bike off while it was still upright, or a float would stick and not allow the valve to close, dripping a bit of fuel into the airbox on occasion.
