Hey guys, with a baby on the way, cannot get the title and too much to do, im going to have to part with her. Need an idea of how much the motor and trans might be worth, motors got just over 17k on it, carbs are recently rebuilt. a general idea would be great.

As much as someone is willing to pay for it! Probably not what you were looking for though.
I have seen engines go for anywhere between 75 and 500 bucks it just all depends.Nathan

With no title, a vehicle's value goes way down...
Like Nate says, if you find the right buyer (someone who needs the part you're selling), you can get decent money. But someone who's just buying 'spares' won't pay that kind of money as a rule. A complete running but non-titled bike around here would be worth roughly $300 at most. If you're willing to do EBay, selling small parts (carbs, brakes, forks, etc) would probably net you more but there's all the hassle involved. Motors typically go for $50-100 as you're pretty much limited to local sales, as shown by the recent 'cleaning' of Bob Jones shop by his widow; all motors were sold for $50 each.
Sad to say, but these bikes in 'distressed' condition are worth more as parts...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two
