I just want to make sure that the plastic floats on mikes xs will work in my 1978 xs1100 even though they are for a 1980-84 xs650. sorry if this question has been answered just want to make sure before i make and order.

Yeah I am thinking if you mail it to me unlocked I can just pull out the cylinder and put your cylinder in the special tank so you can keep the same key. I am just making sure though first.Nathan

If they are both Special tanks, then it is easy as can be to switch out the lock section from one to another. I am almost certain that piece is the same on the standard tanks as well.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
