    The secondary wires were checked with the 5K ohm caps in place. I will re-check the readings again to see if I measured wrong.

    I also followed the suggestion of the link and I cleaned all ground connections. The bike has started everytime so far this weekend. The final test will be tomorrow when I ride to work and let it sit the entire day.

    Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and inputs. If all goes well I will be riding the Iron Butt event on 9/11 from Allen, TX to Jackson, TN and back. It supports the Samaritian Inn in McKinney, TX which address the issue of homelessness in Collin County.

    Did it last year and I was the oldest bike to completed the event. I like to think that I represent classic Japanese bikes in general and the XS11 community in specific.
