NO Fire
My wife's '79SF is kinda' funny with the whole spark thing...
We put "glow caps" on her machine (on the spark plugs) 'Ya know they are the kind that you can "see" the spark.
About half the time when she tries to start it there is no noticable sparking in the plugs...we either "jiggle" the kill switch, or open the throttle a bit...and she begins to spark...half the time I think it's the kill switch...and the other half I would swear she has a "throttle sensor" that will only allow spark when the throttle is "opened"
I automatically know to "jiggle" the kill switch when she doesn't go in the first series of cranks...
I have disassembled the switch, and cleand it with "electric contact cleaner"
And she still acts up, occasionally.
Try the old method of pulling a plug...hooking the wire back up, lay the plug on the motor (grounding it) and crank 'er over...if you see no spark...try the kill switch...if you see weak or intermittent fire...you'll have to search elswhere...IE;battery/coils/wires/ etc...
Good luck...I hope this nonsense helps
