Does anyone have any helpful hints on front suspension tuning? My 79F has 80G air units that have been "drilled". The smoothest I can make it ride is with about 20 PSI. It still tends to be a little harsh over waves in florida pavement. I just can't get it quite right.Thank you. Phil.Phil79F

Here is want my manual indicates:
21psi for maximum bike load of 1090lb (GVW).
14-21psi rider and passenger and/or luggage
5.7-14psi for rider plus passenger
5.7-14psi for rider
I found a note that listed 36psi as the maximum air pressure.
So, it looks like they are recommending a range of 5.7 to 36lbs.
Try dropping it down to 14 psi and see how it feels. You should also have 10w fork oil.DZ

Thanks, ill try that. I have 20w oil in there now. I've tried all different weight oils in these. I bought these forks used and they have been modified by drilling the holes for compression dampening. The less spring preload I run the worse it rides. I'll go try 14psi right now. ThanksPhil79F
