    Hi Fred, my point really is that just because the key is old it doesn't mean the blank is hard to come by. Any good locksmith should have one. I even had the keys to the locks on my Pacifico fairing copied at Walmart automotive.

    If you are missing the key entirely, but can bring the lock cylinder into my local locksmith, he will take the cylinder apart and cut you a key to fit for $8. I've had that done a copy of time with the locks from old motorcycles whose titles were available but keys just a whisp of a memory.
