    Yep, you're probably going to have to remove the clutch housing to line up the clutch lever ball bearings correctly. If the adjustment screw is loosened too much, the ball bearings can slip out of place. The lever should point at 4 o'clock when correctly assembled.

      what is the best way to tackle this? Can I do it while on the kick stand?

        Seriously, if you haven't already do so, down load a manual - can be had from CatitonicBug and do some reading.

        You can do it on the sidestand, but I would recommended putting the scoot on the centerstand. IMHO this is far more stable.

          While Deny is correct, the bike is much more stable on the centerstand, it also requires draining the oil to remove the clutch cover on the centerstand.

          If you lean the bike on the side stand, the oil will be below the level of the clutch cover, and you can remove it without draining the oil. However, if you get into needing to pull the clutch out, you will definitely need to be very careful not to turn the wheel and cause the bike to roll off the sidestand! That can make for a bad day.
